I have had the position for a long time that successful game franchises could definitely charge a premium for their games.

GTA 6 would be one of the few that could price their games at $100 and it would still...EASILY sell millions of copies.

For other beloved franchises, if that's what it takes to keep developing a game for its core audience and not be swayed by creating tons of micro transactions and gameplay loops built strictly to monetize a fan base, I'm all for it.

I hope Rockstar manages to deliver the level of detail that hardcore fans are hoping for. 

My biggest enjoyment factor will be in the quality of the gameplay loops. Will the game just be single player story and an online mode.

Or will there be additional end game hooks after the credits roll on the single player story that allow us to keep building and continuing our journey. Fallout 4 style like with the settlement system?

I'd put the rumors at 95/5 95 per chance of it not being delayed.

The reason being is that Rockstar has already had a massive delay, there is no reason to delay it again when we are still roughly 5 months from 2026
