	I'm hearing a lot of talk about now the true Solo Leveling begins.
</p>

<p>
	That's a pretty big statement but I think I understand after seeing this final episode.
</p>

<p>
	The two unknown guys that show up and the end are obviously some heavy weights and judging by the color of their energy/aura I'm wondering if they aren't responsible for opening the blue and red gates.
</p>

<p>
	They also seemed to drop a massive hint that the entity that granted Jinwoo power, may have previously done so in the past as well. They said something like he doesn't normally help humans. I'm paraphrasing of course.
</p>

<p>
	I don't think any of us expected Cha hunter to die. I also think that was a very interesting choice to release an S rank healer as a shadow. But Jinwoo had to, for the sake of the story. With an S rank healer at his side, every battle would have devolved into a competition to first protect the healer at all costs, and then fight off waves of ridiculously powerful enemies.
</p>

<p>
	I think the anime would have become far too predictable.
</p>

<p>
	I thought this was a quality send off for season 2.
</p>

<p>
	It took Jinwoo's dad forever to get back. I'm sure he has his reasons for remaining in the shadows.
</p>

<p>
	I'm looking forward to season 3 but it seems like we may be waiting for 2 or even 3 years for the next season which is absolutely INSANE for such an immensely popular show.
</p>

<p>
	Whoever, is in charge of production really needs to evaluate priorities.
</p>

	Okay Jinwoo! I see you!
</p>

<p>
	Now that was a properly epic fight!
</p>

<p>
	Jinwoo's fight with the demon king just didn't land like it normally does.
</p>

<p>
	The Ant king went from where is your king? To..."I have to get out of here!"
</p>

<p>
	But that opening face off was pretty awesome. Trading blows back to back.
</p>

<p>
	It was good to see the Ant king get humbled just a bit and actually have to have a real fight.
</p>

<p>
	I honestly would have liked seeing Goto put up a much stronger fight than he did. At least trade a few blows!
</p>

<p>
	But Jinwoo didn't disappoint, his new mutilation skill was sick. He completely overwhelmed the ant with that move.
</p>

<p>
	It was sad to see Cha hunter go down. It this point it seems obvious that Jinwoo is going to try to use arise on the Ant king and have him heal Cha hunter.
</p>

<p>
	If my suspicion is correct, when the ant king devours someone's head he absorbs some of their power. I suspect that the ant king was able to regenerate only because he had taken the head of that S rank mage.
</p>

<p>
	So theoretically if he can get add the Ant king to his army, he'll be able to heal Cha. I expect for that to happen. But afterwards I'm wondering if he'll continue to have the ability. To devour enemies and acquire new abilities.
</p>

<p>
	That would be pretty cool. A part of me doesn't want it because he would be in the running to surpass Igris in wow factor.
</p>

<p>
	It's hard for me to imagine any warrior surpassing Igris, his look is just awesome compared to everyone else. And I still say he has given Jinwoo the toughest fight.
</p>

	Wow what an episode.
</p>

<p>
	Jinwoo we need you!
</p>

<p>
	The only question is what took him so long to exchange?
</p>

<p>
	The S rank hunters from Korea were clearly in big trouble much earlier.
</p>

<p>
	Maybe its some kind of honor thing.
</p>

<p>
	Jinwoo didn't help in that A rank gate that was nearly an S rank, until the leader was severely injured.
</p>

<p>
	I loved that we got to see all of the Korean S rank hunters finally unleash their full fire power.
</p>

<p>
	Don't get me wrong, while I loved seeing everyone go all out, the ultimate human weapon was kind of overwhelming.
</p>

<p>
	He is a pretty powerful ranged fighter but in no way did he feel like any kind of ultimate weapon.
</p>

<p>
	The ant, was far too fast and far too powerful. I low key feel like S ranked healer dude Byung-Gyu was a bit lackadaisical.
</p>

<p>
	They showed have prioritized his defense at the very start of the battle!
</p>

<p>
	They literally had no strategy at all which was super underwhelming.
</p>

<p>
	I do admit that his camaflouge was a nice little ability but it seems like the hunters have no fear, no countermeasures no true strategies.
</p>

<p>
	I know Jinwoo is the star of the show but right now it seems like nobody else is even remotely competent outside of just brute forcing their raw magic power.
</p>

<p>
	That would be fine if they all had more aura, like many of the characters in Bleach who were low level but showed grit, resolve and honor and largely avoided strategy of any kind.
</p>

<p>
	But these guys like that their are only a few others that are really cool and of course none of them have aura anywhere close to Jinwoo.
</p>

<p>
	Also, right now it looks like Goto is gonna go down without landing a single punch! I need him to do something.
</p>

<p>
	We know Jinwoo is on a completely different level but even Baek made the Ant jump around a few times(after he was healed) to avoid being damaged.
</p>

<p>
	So we know the Ant is not invincible, Goto needs to do something and represent Japan.
</p>

<p>
	Cha hunter was amazing this epsiode, her combat style is really cool to watch, she's obviously more of an agile damage dealer type and not a pure power type but her combat style is fun to watch.
</p>

	I knew Jinwoo was gonna step in to help Cha!
</p>

<p>
	Her power was pretty cool, I was disappointed in seeing her get overwhelmed though!
</p>

<p>
	Right after we finally see her fight for the first time, she starts to lose! At least she took one down.
</p>

<p>
	Hunter Baek seemed pretty effective but he was getting double teamed, so it made his fight a bit underwhelming.
</p>

<p>
	The fight between Jinwoo and Goto was...all right.
</p>

<p>
	Jinwoo seems to be pretty clearly stronger than him as he didn't use any of his Necro abilities.
</p>

<p>
	My best guess is that Goto is gonna be wrecked next episode and Jinwoo is gonna switch places with one of his soldiers to enter the fight and save the S rank hunters.
</p>

<p>
	The most interesting thing about all this is that it seems that had the hunters got their act together and recruited all of these S rank hunters before now, they could have easily wiped Jeju island.
</p>

<p>
	But they let it sit there for far too long, giving the ants an opportunity to evolve and adapt.
</p>

<p>
	As this arc seems to be very clearly influenced by the Chimera Ant Arc in Hunter X Hunter, I'm expecting some epic scenes over the next three episodes!
</p>

	A very solid episode and a nice transition into a new story segment.
</p>

<p>
	I guess I understand the dislikes a little bit, as I'm hearing in the source material Jinwoo didn't cry?
</p>

<p>
	But as a person that hasn't read the manhwa I thought it was a touching moment between him and his mom.
</p>

<p>
	They set the stage nicely for a battle royale between S class hunters next episode but this was not an appropriate cliffhanger.
</p>

<p>
	Just ending it suddenly was not a good move. I like how they handled the cliffhanger between Jinwoo and Karkalgan.
</p>

<p>
	That was a FANTASTIC way to end the episode before the actual fight. Absolutely epic.
</p>

<p>
	I hope we get a few surprises with episode 10.
</p>

	We got some nice bits of information this episodes.
</p>

<p>
	It seems like the demons were preparing to face a great enemy and then just somehow ended up as this castle.
</p>

<p>
	I wonder if that great enemy is Jinwoo.
</p>

<p>
	I'm thinking it's not Jinwoo because Jinwoo's dad seemed to indicate that there was some sort of great enemy they needed to prepare for.
</p>

<p>
	Some great catastrophe. But his words leave the possibility open.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Flash forward to the Baran fight, it was nice seeing our boy Jinwoo have to wok for it a little bit but the fight itself wasn't that great.
</p>

<p>
	Also, why didn't they show us Jinwoo trying to add Baran to his shadow army.
</p>

<p>
	I gotta tell you. Igris is still the best boss battle by FAR!
</p>

	Interesting.
</p>

<p>
	Now its all coming together.
</p>

<p>
	The Ice Elves hear a voice that says to kill humans but don't hear it on Jinwoo.
</p>

<p>
	Are they being led by the system or something similar.
</p>

<p>
	I'm starting to wonder if the lead Elf Barca wasn't some type of "player" or chosen champion for some other deity/entity.
</p>

<p>
	That could explain why Jinwoo wasn't able to add him to his shadow army.
</p>

<p>
	I actually went back to see if the Cerberus that Jinwoo fought or the optional job quest was a red gate and both appeared not to be.
</p>

<p>
	So I think this is the first time he's entered a red gate.
</p>

<p>
	Either way we got confirmation this episode that Jinwoo is in fact stronger than A class.
</p>

<p>
	Even though he was a tank, Kim Chul seemed to be physically weaker than Jinwoo by a LARGE margin.
</p>

<p>
	Igris could have soloed him.
</p>

<p>
	By the way I was a little disappointed that Igris didn't get a chance to stand out this ep, he definitely did his part but I want to see that scary boss level dude from the end of season 1.
</p>

<p>
	I would have liked to see Barca and Igris fight for a little bit.
</p>

<p>
	Also it seems pretty clear that Jinwoo was anticipating Kim Chul would try to kill him and so he helped him along. My major concern with that strategy is...in the heat of the moment how in the world could Jinwoo be sure that his shadow monarch powers would work on humans too. Up until this ep he only used it on magical beasts.
</p>

<p>
	Another thing to note. The show hid his two notification screens after Jinwoo defeated Barca. The right screen was cut off but it seemed clear that it was just telling him he gained a couple of levels but the left screen didn't give us any information at all.
</p>

<p>
	It must have been info about the new dagger that he got from defeating Barca.
</p>

<p>
	In the beginning of this episode I thought things were about to go crazy! The two S ranked hunters were for sure about to go at it right in front of the gate.
</p>

<p>
	I'm looking forward to Jinwoo showing up at the white tiger guild although its seems most likely that he won't join and instead will probably end up being the head of the whatever guild the Yoojin Construction company creates unless he decides to go off and actually become some type of hunter king or some other path that hasn't been mentioned yet.
</p>

	This was an amazing episode.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	Episode 1 of season 2 somehow delivered everything a fan could want.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	More sudden surprises, more mystery, a ton of action and we got to see Jinwoo's shadow army in action!
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	Not to mention Igris just showed out! OMG this anime is just oozing with style and awesome moments.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	I loved that they were trapped behind the red gate and nobody could get to them.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	Admittedly I had to go back to season 1 to understand exactly what a dungeon break is.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	Apparently, red gates only open up under two scenarios. The area boss is beaten OR if after a period of time the boss goes unbeaten the gate opens up and the monsters are able to come into the physical world aka a dungeon break.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	I loved to see how Jinwoo instantly catches the arrow and how one of the other hunters mentions that the A class hunter didn't even notice it.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	I think its pretty safe to say that Jinwoo is S class right now he may be lower tier S class. But he is very obviously stronger than A class. He just has too many abilities.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:18px;">
	Also anyone else getting White Walker vibes from these Ice Elves?
</p>
